We are dealing with a MS (Mild Steel) vertical storage tank is a cylindrical tank oriented vertically and fabricated using mild steel plates. These tanks are widely used in industries for storing liquids such as water, chemicals, oils, or fuel. Here's a general description:

Material: Mild Steel (MS), known for its strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Orientation: Vertical (cylindrical body with a flat or conical bottom and top cover, can be open or closed).
Capacity: Ranges from a few hundred liters to several lakh liters, depending on usage.
Design Features:
Cylindrical shape for efficient space usage and structural strength.
Top cover may be fixed or detachable, flat or dome-shaped.
Bottom may be flat, sloped, or conical for easy draining.
Manhole/access hatch for inspection and cleaning.
Nozzles/inlets and outlets for filling and emptying.
Level indicator, vent pipe, and overflow pipe (optional).
Coatings (internal or external) for corrosion resistance.

 Material of Construction (MOC):

Shell & Bottom Plate: Mild Steel IS 2062 Grade B or C

Top Dome / Roof: Mild Steel (same grade as shell)

Nozzles & Fittings: MS with flanged ends or threaded, as per requirement

Manhole: MS, bolted or hinged type

Ladder & Platform (optional): MS with anti-skid steps

Coating (Internal/External):

Internal: Epoxy or rubber lining (if storing corrosive materials)

External: Red oxide primer with synthetic enamel / PU / epoxy paint

 

 Capacity Range:

5KL to 100KL (Vertical Cylindrical with Flat/Conical Roof)
